Time to get back to our Blog!!!

Well I have decided it is time to get back to my blog!!! I am missing out on too much of our lives...cannot believe it has been almost 2 years since my last post. Our baby girl Phoebe is going to be 18 months old this month and oh yeah...we live in North Carolina now!!! I have decided to play catch up I will post something everyday with at least one picture until I am caught up...so I guess that would be about 30 posts!!! But it has to be done...we have so many new beginnings coming soon that I do not want to miss out on. For anyone that actually reads this blog...look out because here comes the posts :)

Where have the last 4 months gone???

WOW!!!! Has it really been over 4 months since our last entry. I decided to FINALLY take time and update our blog after frequent reminders how I have been slacking (thank you Stacy and Hilarie). So what is new.... :) Oh come on, everyone knows what is new with the Lineberry's...WE ARE HAVING A BABY!!!! We found out just after the New Year that I was pregnant. What a funny story there...ask me sometime I will explain, it is too long to put here. And from approximately late January to about mid-March I spent fighting consistent nausea and fatigue. No one tells you how much you sleep during your 1st trimester. I felt at times like I had narcolepsy! Stephen has been the MOST supportive husband with lots of hugs and kisses and reminders of what a "GOOD JOB" I am doing. We are blessed to have the Newport Beach Stake President as our OB/GYN which has been wonderful!!! I had to deal with A LOT of blood tests early on (some days I felt like a pin cushion, but it was all worth it). Two weeks ago we found out that we were going to be blessed with a BABY GIRL, which Stephen said he knew as soon as he saw her feet on the ultrasound. He said the feet were so sweet and petite and Lineberry males have a history of having HUGE horse feet from all the generations of Appalachian Men.

My second trimester has been great...this past week my tummy decided to pop so now I really look preggo and not just FAT :) Also a little over a week ago I felt her kick for the first time. It is the greatest feeling like she is telling me "Hello, Mommy" or "Wake up, Mommy" or "FEED ME,MOMMY!!!" This is definately Stephen's baby because she is VERY active and wants food every 2 hours. My 12 week ultrasound was supposed to take about 10-15 minutes and instead took almost an hour because Stephen's baby was acting like Daddy and would not sit still so the measurements could be taken :)

I promise that I will be better at documenting our lives...Facebook took over too much, but I miss the journal aspect of our blog.

Happy Anniversary!!!

Stephen and I celebrated our 3rd Anniversary last night...WOW how time flies when you are having fun :) We exchanged gifts when I got home from work...I went the traditional gift way and gave Stephen a new leather wallet with a wedding pic inside (the traditional gift for the 3rd anniversary is leather). Stephen surprised me with his gift...he did some research and decided to go the modern route which for the 3rd anniversary is Crystal :) He gave me the most beautiful Crystal Earrings and I absolutely love them. My hubby really does know how to give a great gift. After we both took a well deserved nap we got all pretty and headed out in the pouring rain for dinner. Stephen took me to Roman Cucina, which is an excellent southern Italian restaurant in Newport Beach. The atmosphere is quite fun yet romantic. We even received a free dessert, a yummy chocolate chip cannoli :) The day was perfect because I spent it with Stephen and every day I have him in my life is my best yet. I feel so blessed to have found the perfect man for me who loves me and lets me love him. I thought it would be fun to post some wedding pics for nostalgia!

Our Christmas Card Photo Shoot!

Stephen and I decided to go and take pictures for our Christmas card yesterday around Huntington Beach. It was so great taking pictures at the Hyatt where just three years ago this upcoming week we were taking wedding pictures! Stephen was masterful with the camera setting it up on a step ladder to get just the right shot. I absolutely love the pictures and look forward to sending everyone our Christmas Card. Unexpected VisiTOR!

As Stephen was finishing class with the 5th grade students today, there was an unexpected visitor. The class had just returned from the library, the door was left open, and a RED-TAILED HAWK decided to try to eat the animated characters on the door poster. After glancing off of the door, it had no where to go, but in the classroom!

It soared to the window on the other side of the room, only to find it was closed. The hawk pivoted in mid-air and swooped over the heads of 16 amazed students. Stephen instinctively dropped to one knee and yelled out to the students "GET DOWN!" The raptor managed to narrow its 4 ft. wingspan and leave through the front door, as quickly as it had arrived. Needless to say the students were wrecked for the last 10 minutes of class and it was all they talked about at recess. Quite a unique experience.

Happy Thanksgiving...I mean HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEPHEN!!!!

We had a VERY busy Thanksgiving weekend!!! For those of you who did not know...it was Stephen's 35th birthday on Thanksgiving :) We had great, crisp Fall weather, which I loved and even some sprinkles of rain to make it feel even more festive.

We started the morning bright and early by attending the Turkey Bowl (organized by our Elder's Quorum) It was so much fun watching everyone give it their all and things were VERY tense at times even though it was flag football...typical LDS competitiveness. I know I am bias...but Stephen is a hottie!!!







After the game, we rushed home to set up our webcam for a scheduled conference session with the Lineberry family back in North Carolina. All went well and we LOVED seeing everyone!! It was the highlight of our day...we miss everyone very much.

While I quickly (45 minutes) made my potato casserole aka "funeral potatoes", Stephen took a well deserved nap.

For Thanksgiving dinner we headed to John and Lynn's house. Lynn is Monet's aunt. Monet is Andy's girlfriend. Andy is my older brother. It was quite the party with over 30 guests, but we had a great time and I admit it was nice to have less stress this year. The food was great and the conversations even greater. I even brought a birthday cake for Stephen and everyone celebrated his special day!!

Our Winter Wonderland Welcome...Disney Style!!

I was lucky to get four free tickets to the private KOST FM party at Disneyland for the kick-off to the holiday season and unofficial lighting of the lights throughout the park! We asked our favorite date night couple, The Parks to join us and the four of us had a GREAT time. We got to walk on all the rides, which is unheard of at Disneyland! My favorite moment was sneaking a smooch with Stephen in the back of the Pirates of the Caribbean ride...it felt so high school :)






We had a fun ride on the Space Mountain Ride...well at least some of us did :)

Another trip to the Wild Animal Park..

This past Veteran's Day we headed down to San Diego and met up with friends to go the Wild Animal Park. It was a perfect day with lots of sunshine. We had tons of fun seeing all the new baby animals including some cute as a button baby elephants, zebra and giraffes. I also loved seeing how big the lion cubs are getting...they just turned 1 years old. We have now seen almost the whole park with only one section left to go. The place is so huge, but it is so wonderful to hike around it. We are looking forward to returning at Christmas time and perhaps see the zoo as well.
Interesting info...As seen below, the Northern White Rhinoceros is one of the two subspecies of the White Rhinoceros. They are grazers and live in grasslands and savannah woodlands. These animals may now be extinct in the wild as a recent survey failed to locate the only known surviving population of four in the Garamaba National Park of the Congo. Only 7 captive specimens are left in the world: two at the San Diego wild Animal Park and five in the Czech Republic. They were so sweet as the male and female layed and looked into each other's eyes. The zoologist's are working with artificial insemination to try to have the Rhino's breed. Such a sad tale, but let's hope they can be saved!!

The Buddy Walk for Down Syndrome :)

Stephen and I had a blast at our second annual trip to the Buddy Walk for Down Syndrome at Angel Stadium yesterday. The many teams included four that were for some of my clients. Stephen and I joined two of the teams and donated to the other two---unfortunately we can only each be on one team. The day was somewhat rainy--Stephen calls it drizzle, but it was actually nice...last year was TOO hot! The event is such a positive example of what Down Syndrome can be. Everyone there is excited for the beautiful children living with Down Syndrome in their lives. I am very blessed to work with 8 children with Down Syndrome and am always amazed at all they can accomplish with the right kind of intervention. These kids are such an inspiration...they are full of LOVE, HUGS and SMILES for everyone. If only we could all be like those living with Down Syndrome :)
